Kuala lumpur: National mixed doubles shuttler Toh Ee Wei believes her fighting spirit is the key weapon in staying competitive among the world's top 10 pairs. Despite acknowledging a gap in experience, the 24-year-old said it has not held her back, instead serving as motivation to raise her game against more seasoned opponents. According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ee Wei expressed her determination to give her best in every match and every point, highlighting her fighting spirit as her greatest strength. After a training session at the Akademi Badminton Malaysia (ABM) in Bukit Kiara, she emphasized the importance of consistency with her partner Chen Tang Jie, rather than rushing to chase success on the international stage. Reflecting on their early exit at the All England two weeks ago, Ee Wei said the defeat served as a reminder not to take any tournament lightly, even as world champions. She stressed that they accepted the result with an open mind, having given their all throughout the match. Ee Wei acknowl edged that experience should not be used as an excuse, and emphasized the need to learn from every match and tournament. She noted that the mixed doubles field is very open now, with champions emerging from Taiwan and many top players facing unexpected losses. Currently ranked world number four with Tang Jie, Ee Wei declared their commitment to keep working hard.
