Kota bharu: The appeal against the FIFA registration ban imposed on Kelantan Red Warrior FC (KRW FC) has shown positive developments, with the world football governing body still conducting a detailed analysis and investigation. Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) vice-president I Datuk Seri Rosmadi Ismail stated that the appeal had been submitted to FIFA through the FAM secretary-general, with efforts continuing to resolve the issue before this season's Malaysia League (M-League) campaign.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Rosmadi expressed hope for a favorable outcome, saying that no official decision has been issued yet, but that they are optimistic about receiving positive news. He emphasized the aim for FIFA to make a decision that would resolve the problems faced by KRW FC. The submission of the appeal was made through the FAM secretary-general, and efforts are ongoing to address the registration ban imposed due to claims of unpaid salaries by players and coaches under the previous Kelantan FC management.

Rosmadi also highlighted that FAM, through its representative on the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Executive Committee, has been actively working to resolve the registration ban on KRW FC. The club had been sanctioned by FIFA following allegations related to financial discrepancies involving the previous management.

In another development, Rosmadi mentioned the upcoming election of new leadership for the Kelantan Football Association (KAFA), which is expected to rejuvenate the association and support the development of football in the state. He stressed the importance of conducting the election process properly and smoothly to enable KAFA to resume its role as an official FAM affiliate. Rosmadi, who has a personal connection to KAFA, expressed his intention to assist the association, especially given his origins in Kelantan.

He noted that KAFA's issues have persisted due to its suspension, but he has been informed by the FAM secretariat that the KAFA election will take place soon. Rosmadi hopes that the election will be conducted effectively to facilitate the revival of KAFA and foster the growth of football in Kelantan.
