Kinabatangan: Felcra Bhd chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub has announced the company’s second interim distributable profit for 2025 amounting to RM207 million. He said the profit distribution would be carried out in stages starting today, benefiting 76,694 participants nationwide and involving 775 profitable projects.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the overall performance of Felcra Bhd’s consolidation and rehabilitation projects up to August 2025 recorded total profits of RM297 million, marking an increase of nearly RM78 million compared to the same period last year. Ahmad Jazlan expressed hopes that the distribution will serve as both a financial boost and a motivation for participants to enhance productivity, adopt new technologies, and strengthen competitiveness, ensuring that Felcra remains a pillar of rural economic development.

The announcement was made during the declaration ceremony for the interim profit distribution 2/2025 for Felcra Bhd participants’ projects held at Dataran Kinabatangan. Also present at the event were Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad and Kinabatangan member of parliament Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.

Ahmad Jazlan highlighted Felcra Berhad’s ongoing role in empowering rural communities, including in Sabah, through various development projects under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW). Since 1995, Felcra has managed 15,704 hectares of agricultural land in Sabah, involving 2,252 participants. KKDW has allocated RM75.63 million this year for various development projects in Kinabatangan, including RM33.26 million for rural road projects, RM1.62 million for rural bridge projects, RM11.49 million for rural water supply projects, and RM13.25 million for community welfare projects such as the Hardcore Poor Housing Programme (PPRT).

Additionally, under Rolling Plan 1 of the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) next year, the government has approved an extra allocation of RM27.9 million for rural development through Felcra.
