Federal Territory Mosque Sets Up ‘Barakah Pit Stop’ For Motorcyclists, P-hailing Riders

Kuala lumpur: The Federal Territory Mosque has introduced the 'Barakah Pit Stop', offering motorcyclists and p-hailing riders a place to rest and recharge during their journeys.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr. Zulkifli Hasan announced the initiative, which provides phone charging stations as well as complimentary food and drinks during Ramadan. Dr. Zulkifli shared his personal connection to the cause, recalling his own experiences as a motorcycle commuter and highlighting the importance of having a place to stop, rest, and strengthen one's spiritual connection.

In a Facebook post, Dr. Zulkifli expressed his gratitude to the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP), the mosque management, and the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Prihatin Insan Kuala Lumpur dan Selangor (Pekerti) for their dedication to the initiative's success.

He further mentioned that MAIWP had contributed RM105,000 to Pekerti through a cheque to support the programme, ensuring that zakat benefits reach those in need directly. Dr. Zulkifli expressed hope that this initiative would be expanded to other mosques in the future.
