Kuala lumpur: The Federal Government will continue to strengthen cooperation with the Kelantan state government to advance the interests and well-being of the people in the state. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the matter was discussed when he received a courtesy call from Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud earlier today. He said their discussions covered support across various sectors, including infrastructure, the economy, agriculture, education, healthcare, and social amenities, to ensure the state's development continues smoothly.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar conveyed optimism about the ongoing cooperation, stating that it would be strengthened for the benefit and well-being of the people of Kelantan. In a separate Facebook post, Mohd Nassuruddin emphasized the importance of the meeting as an opportunity to strengthen ties between the state and federal governments, particularly in coordinating development priorities and addressing matters concerning the people's interests.

Mohd Nassuruddin expressed appreciation and gratitude to Prime Minister Anwar for the meeting, which allowed him to convey the aspirations, needs, and interests of the people of Kelantan. He highlighted the state government's commitment to exploring and strengthening areas of cooperation that could benefit Kelantan, guided by mutual respect and shared responsibility.

The menteri besar stated that for the state government, the people's interests transcend all differences. He expressed hope that strong relations and close cooperation between the state and federal governments would continue to help Kelantan move forward towards its vision of Kelantan Maju, Rakyat Sejahtera.
