Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened higher on Friday. At 9.38 am, the September 2026 contract rose 1.5 points to 1,655.5, while both the October 2026 and December 2026 contracts added two points to 1,654.0 and 1,661.0, respectively. Additionally, the March 2027 contract gained three points to reach 1,646.0.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the turnover for the futures stood at 1,877 lots, and the open interest totalled 43,990 contracts. At 9.42 am, the FBM KLCI itself inched up by 0.63 points to 1,675.37, compared to Thursday's close of 1,674.74.
