Kuala Lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives were lower in early trade today:
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 9.35 am, the February 2025 contract fell by 4.0 points to 1,579.5. Additionally, the March 2025 and September 2025 contracts each decreased by 3.0 points, reaching 1,560.0 and 1,553.5, respectively. The June 2025 contract experienced a decline of 2.0 points, settling at 1,565.0.
Turnover for the futures stood at 1,037 lots, with open interest recorded at 37,207 contracts. The activity reflects the market’s cautious sentiment as the benchmark FBM KLCI itself saw a slight drop of 0.17 of-a-point to 1,580.71 after 40 minutes of trading.
