FBM KLCI Futures Register Mixed Performance Across Contracts

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives concluded with a mixed performance, seeing mostly higher outcomes across different contract months.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, at the close of trading, the January 2026 contract increased by 1.5 points to 1,717.0, while the February 2025 contract saw a rise of 2.0 points, closing at 1,721.5. The March 2026 contract gained 1.0 point to end at 1,701.5. In contrast, the June 2026 contract experienced a decline, dropping 2.5 points to settle at 1,702.5.

The market also observed a decrease in turnover, with 6,233 lots traded compared to 6,964 lots recorded the previous day. Additionally, open interest saw a decline, falling to 41,444 contracts from the previous count of 42,694 contracts.

At the close of the day, the FBM KLCI itself rose by 2.85 points, or 0.17 percent, reaching 1,719.99, up from the prior close of 1,717.14.
