Kuala Lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives showed an upward trend in the early trading session today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 9.20 am, the February 2025 contract increased by 4.5 points to 1,578.0. The March 2025 contract saw a rise of 4.0 points to 1,559.50, and the June 2025 contract climbed 3.0 points to 1,562.0. Meanwhile, the September 2025 contract remained stable at 1,547.50.
The total turnover for the session was reported at 805 lots, with open interest reaching 33,701 contracts. The benchmark FBM KLCI itself edged up 1.62 points to 1,576.13 after 43 minutes of trading, compared to Wednesday’s closing of 1,574.51.
