KUALA LUMPUR: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower in early trade. At 9.10 am, the November 2024 contract saw a reduction of 11.0 points to settle at 1,636.5. Similarly, the December 2024 and March 2025 contracts dropped by 10.5 points each, reaching 1,640.5 and 1,629.0, respectively. The June 2025 contract also experienced a slight decrease of 1.0 point, bringing it to 1,637.5.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the turnover for the futures amounted to 2,066 lots, with an open interest recorded at 35,235 contracts. In the cash market, the benchmark FBM KLCI was noted to have fallen by 2.34 points, bringing it to 1,631.83 after 36 minutes of trading.
