FBM KLCI Futures End Lower as Cash Market Weakens

Kuala Lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today in line with the underlying cash market. The spot-month March 2025 contract fell seven points to 1,530.5, April 2025 decreased 7.5 points to 1,532.0, June 2025 slid 8.5 points to 1,534.0 and September 2025 erased eight points to 1,521.0.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover declined to 7,831 lots from 8,521 lots on Wednesday, while open interest shrank to 41,159 contracts from 41,720 contracts previously. At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI eased 5.51 points or 0.35 per cent to 1,558.91 from yesterday’s close of 1,564.42.
