FBM KLCI Futures End Higher with Mixed Contract Gains

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives concluded Monday’s trading session on a positive note, with several contracts witnessing gains.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the July 2025, September 2025, and December 2025 futures contracts each increased by 1.0 point, closing at 1,533.0, 1,512.0, and 1,511.50, respectively. Meanwhile, the August 2025 contract saw a smaller rise, gaining 0.5 of a point to end at 1,530.50.

Despite the gains in futures contracts, the market experienced a decline in turnover, which fell to 4,593 lots compared to 7,745 lots on the preceding Friday. Open interest also saw a reduction, decreasing to 39,094 contracts from the previous count of 40,748.

At the close of the trading day, the FBM KLCI index itself recorded an increase of 1.44 points, or 0.09 percent, reaching 1,537.51, up from Friday’s closing value of 1,536.07.
