FBM KLCI Futures End Higher In Line With Cash Market

Kuala Lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today in line with the underlying cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the futures for March 2025 rose by 17.0 points to 1,532.5. In tandem, the April 2025 and September 2025 contracts saw an increase of 15.5 points each, closing at 1,530.0 and 1,513.0, respectively. Meanwhile, the June 2025 futures gained 14.5 points, ending at 1,524.0.

The turnover for these contracts decreased to 32,797 lots from the previous 78,585 lots recorded on Wednesday. Concurrently, the open interest also experienced a decline, dipping to 78,257 contracts from the previous total of 133,859 contracts.

At the close of trading at 5 pm, the FBM KLCI index itself had risen by 17.68 points, reaching 1,535.73 compared to Wednesday’s closing figure of 1,518.05.
