Kuala Lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher, in line with the cash market performance.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the spot-month February 2025 and September 2025 contracts increased 19 points each to 1,589.5 and 1,558.5, respectively. Meanwhile, the March 2025 futures rose 20 points to 1,568.0, and the June 2025 futures added 19.5 points to 1,571.0.
Turnover saw a significant jump to 77,748 lots from 46,238 lots on Tuesday, while open interest surged to 122,278 contracts from 88,029 contracts previously. At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) itself jumped 20.68 points to 1,588.71 from Tuesday’s close of 1,568.03.
