Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened mostly higher on Wednesday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 9.30 am, the September 2026 and August contracts each increased by a point to reach 1,725.5 and 1,705.0, respectively. The March 2027 contract rose by 1.5 points to 1,688.0, while the December 2026 contract remained steady at 1,705.0.

Turnover for these futures contracts was recorded at 1,845, with open interest totaling 39,202 contracts. However, by 9.48 am, the FBM KLCI itself saw a slight decline, easing by 2.21 points to 1,731.24, compared to Tuesday's closing value of 1,733.36.
