FBM KLCI Futures Contracts Experience Decline

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower on Tuesday. This initial dip was observed as the market commenced its trading activities for the day.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the September 2026 contracts saw a reduction of eight points, settling at 1,692.0. Meanwhile, the October 2026 contracts decreased by 9.5 points, reaching 1,690.5. The December 2026 and March 2027 contracts both experienced a fall of 10.5 points, closing at 1,695.0 and 1,678.0, respectively.

As of the opening, the turnover was recorded at 3,567, with open interest standing at a total of 39,088 contracts. By 9.38 am, the FBM KLCI index had decreased by 21.24 points to 1,704.64, a decline from the previous Friday's closing figure of 1,725.88.
