Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the December 2025 contract edged down half a point to 1,631.0, while the January 2026 contract slid 1.5 points to 1,632.5. Additionally, the March 2026 contract slipped half a point to 1,615.0, and the June 2026 contract eased 1.5 points to 1,619.0.
Turnover experienced a decline, falling to 7,064 lots from 8,867 lots on Monday. Open interest also weakened, decreasing to 43,109 contracts compared to 45,050 contracts previously.
Despite the decrease in futures contracts, at 5 pm, the FBM KLCI itself added 6.03 points, or 0.37 percent, reaching 1,630.60 from yesterday’s close of 1,624.57.
