Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives finished higher on Thursday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the spot month September 2025 added three points to 1,577.5. The October 2025 and December 2025 contracts increased by 2.5 points each, closing at 1,574.0 and 1,568.5, respectively, while the March 2026 contract remained unchanged at 1,546.0.

Turnover for the day fell to 3,099 lots from 4,585 lots the previous day, and open interest declined to 39,994 contracts from 40,423 contracts previously.

Meanwhile, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) itself closed 7.90 points or 0.5 percent lower at 1,582.85, down from Wednesday’s close of 1,590.75.
