FBM KLCI Futures Contract Records Decline on Bursa Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today. The spot month November 2024 contract eased 7.5 points to 1,587.5. Similarly, the December 2024 and March 2025 contracts dropped 8.0 points each to 1,591.0 and 1,580.5, respectively, while the June 2025 contract declined by 6.0 points to 1,591.0.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover showed an improvement, increasing to 7,361 lots compared to 6,621 lots recorded yesterday. However, open interest saw a decrease, falling to 38,290 contracts from the previous 39,098 contracts.

At the close of trading at 5 pm, the FBM KLCI recorded a retreat of 9.50 points, or 0.59 per cent, ending the day at 1,588.68. This marked a decline from yesterday’s closing figure of 1,598.18.
