Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed mostly higher on Wednesday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the spot month of August 2025 saw an increase of 3.5 points to reach 1,543.0. The September 2025 contract rose by 5.0 points, closing at 1,524.0. Similarly, the December 2025 contract recorded an increase of 5.5 points, ending at 1,524.50. Meanwhile, the March 2026 contract remained steady at 1,507.0.
The turnover for the day decreased to 5,351 lots, compared to 5,756 on Tuesday. Despite the decrease in turnover, open interest experienced a slight rise, moving up to 42,730 contracts from the previous 42,660 contracts.
At the close of trading, the FBM KLCI itself rose by 2.84 points, or 0.19 percent, to settle at 1,541.48. This was an increase from Tuesday’s closing figure of 1,538.64.
