KUALA LUMPUR: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today. The spot month November 2024 contract eased by 0.5 of-a-point to 1,602.0. Meanwhile, the December 2024 contract slid by 2.0 points to 1,605.0, March 2025 fell by 3.0 points to 1,595.0, and June 2025 dropped by 1.5 points to 1,604.0.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover surged significantly to 66,059 lots from 35,519 lots on Tuesday. Additionally, open interest grew to 107,794 contracts compared to 70,290 previously. Despite the decline in futures, the FBM KLCI itself rose by 1.10 points to 1,604.25 at 5 pm from Tuesday’s close of 1,603.15.
