Kuala Lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, at the close, the May 2025 contract decreased 6.5 points to 1,574.5. The June 2025 contract fell seven points to 1,573.5, while the September 2025 contract declined 6.5 points to 1,558.5. The December 2025 contract slid 8.5 points to 1,567.5.
Turnover reduced to 6,850 lots from 9,957 lots on Wednesday, with open interest lower at 40,949 contracts compared to 42,654 contracts previously. At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI fell 10.49 points, or 0.66 per cent, to 1,573.02 from Wednesday’s close of 1,583.51.
