Kuala terengganu: A father and his nine-year-old son tragically lost their lives in a house fire in Kampung Tok Jembal, near Kuala Terengganu, early this morning. The fire, which engulfed a semi-permanent two-storey house near Sekolah Kebangsaan Tok Jembal, was reported to the police at approximately 4 am.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Kuala Terengganu District Police Chief ACP Azli Mohd Noor issued a statement detailing the response to the incident. The operation to control the blaze and rescue the victims involved 16 personnel from the Kuala Nerus and Kuala Terengganu Fire and Rescue Stations. The team was equipped with a Fire and Rescue Tender (FRT) and a Compact Fire and Rescue Tender (CFRT) to manage the situation.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and authorities are also working to determine the extent of the financial losses incurred due to the incident.
