Kuala berang: The family of the late Muhammad Syukri Bazli has expressed hope that their decision to donate his organs will provide a new lease on life to those in dire need. His uncle, Azlan Yahya, shared that the decision was made with the full consent of Muhammad Syukri's parents and his wife, Nurul Hanis Amelia Ramli.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the donation is seen as Muhammad Syukri's final act of kindness. Known for his willingness to help others, the family believes that this gesture aligns with his character. Despite never having discussed organ donation, the family felt it was the right choice, offering a chance to save lives.
Muhammad Syukri, who worked as a cook in Kuala Berang, suffered from heart complications and passed away at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital. His organs, including kidneys, liver, bone, and skin, were donated to patients in need of transplants or reconstructive surgery.
A father of three young children, Muhammad Syukri will be laid to rest at the Kampung Peroh Muslim cemetery. His family and the community will miss his presence, especially during gatherings.
The hospital and the Terengganu Health Department recognized the donation with a Walk of Honour and expressed their gratitude through social media. The selfless act has garnered attention and appreciation, highlighting the impact of organ donation.
