Family of Actress Nadia Kesuma Comes to Terms with Her Passing

Kuala lumpur: The family of actress Nadia Kesuma, who died in Jeddah on Thursday, has come to terms with her passing. Her husband, Prof Dr Muhammad Kamarul Kabilan Abdullah, a lecturer at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), received the heartbreaking news from Wisma Putra late on Thursday night.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Muhammad Kamarul Kabilan stated that Wisma Putra had informed him of the tragic event, although details would be forthcoming in an official statement from the agency. Muhammad Kamarul Kabilan expressed his apologies for not being able to provide more information at this time. He and his daughter are making their way to Jeddah to handle the necessary arrangements and have accepted the reality of the situation.

At Penang International Airport, Muhammad Kamarul Kabilan maintained his composure as he embraced family members before embarking on the journey to Kuala Lumpur and subsequently to Jeddah. He and Nadia Kesuma have three children together, aged between 11 and 15. He shared that Nadia Kesuma, whose real name was Nadiah Kasumawati Abdul Karim, will be laid to rest in Jeddah, honoring her wish to visit Mekah.

BERNAMA also reported that Muhammad Kamarul Kabilan confirmed Nadia Kesuma's death through a Facebook post, indicating that she passed away at 8:07 am on Thursday, coinciding with the day she was reported missing. The actress was last seen at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, where she was transiting during her flight from Kuala Lumpur to London.

Nadia Kesuma had embarked on an Umrah-London-Paris travel package organized by a tour agency, accompanied by 21 other pilgrims. The family and friends of Nadia Kesuma are grieving her loss while fulfilling her final wishes.
