FAMA Ramadan Bazaars In Perlis Record RM1.3 Mln In Sales

Perlis: The Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) in Perlis has recorded RM1.3 million in sales at two Ramadan bazaar locations in the state so far, involving 109 local entrepreneurs.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perlis FAMA director Mohd Anzara Azizan announced that the bazaars, held at the Simpang Empat Permanent Farmers' Market and Dataran ABC MAIPs, provide a platform for entrepreneurs to generate income while offering the public access to breaking-of-fast delicacies. This announcement was made during the Sentuhan Kasih Ramadan @ Bazar Ramadan Tani FAMA 1447H/2026 programme at Dataran ABC MAIPs.

Mohd Anzara highlighted that the Sentuhan Kasih Ramadan programme, conducted at both locations over the past two days, collected nearly 500 kilograms of food from traders. This food was distributed to mosque congregants in nearby areas, aiming to foster a spirit of sharing among entrepreneurs at FAMA-managed Ramadan bazaars.

Additionally, FAMA Perlis has initiated several special sales programmes across the state to help the public obtain Ramadan essentials. This includes the Jualan Semarak Ramadan at Istiqamah Mosque and Teluk Jambu Farmers' Market, recording RM43,600 in sales. Meanwhile, the Jualan Agro MADANI Ramadan at Sekolah Kebangsaan Dato Ahmad Musa, Simpang Empat, and the Perlis Civil Defence Force office generated RM22,085. Pre-Ramadan sales through the AgroBazaar Online platform added RM13,400, bringing total sales for these programmes to RM79,085.

Mohd Anzara also stated that FAMA Perlis will continue organizing several programmes ahead of Aidilfitri, including the Jualan Khas Semarak Aidilfitri at the Simpang Empat Permanent Farmers' Market on March 17 and the Jualan Agro MADANI at the Perlis Commercial Centre and the FAMA Perlis office on March 19.
