Faisal Halim Dedicates Hat-trick Against Kelantan To Red Giants’ Supporters

Selangor: Selangor FC winger Mohamad Faisal Abdul Halim has dedicated his hat-trick performance against Kelantan Darul Naim FC in the 2024/25 Super League to all the supporters of the Red Giants squad.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Faisal Halim’s hat-trick was significant as it marked the end of his goal drought in competitive action since his return from an acid attack incident last year. In an Instagram Story post by Selangor FC, Faisal Halim expressed his gratitude by saying, “Thank you to all the supporters. Thank you to the people of Selangor. These three goals are for all of you, for the people of Selangor, for the Selangor team. Thank you to my friends, thank you to the management, thank you to the Selangor supporters.”

In the match at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium, Faisal Halim scored in the 13th, 45+2nd, and 66th minutes, leading Selangor to a 7-0 victory over Kelantan Darul Naim. The remaining goals were scored by Quentin Cheng in the 31st minute, Harith Haiqal Adam Afkar in the 54th and 56th minutes, and Muhammad Aliff Izwan Yuslan in the 73rd minute, under the management of Katsuhito Kinoshi.

The acid attack on May 5 last year at a shopping mall in Petaling Jaya left Faisal Halim with fourth-degree burns on several parts of his body. He spent approximately 10 days in the Intensive Care Unit undergoing treatment.
