Fahmi Prays For Rafizi’s Son Swift Recovery

Kuala lumpur: Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has prayed for the speedy recovery of the son of former Economy Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, who was assaulted at a shopping mall this afternoon. In a post on X, Fahmi, who is also PKR Information Chief, expressed sadness, shock and anger over the news.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fahmi expressed his concerns as a father with children around the same age as Rafizi Ramli’s son. He stated that he is deeply concerned about his family’s safety and prayed for Ben’s recovery, asking for justice against the attackers.

Earlier, Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar reported that the assault occurred at 2 pm at the mall’s pick-up and drop-off area while the boy was with his mother and their driver. The incident has prompted strong reactions from political figures, urging swift action from authorities.

Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister and PKR secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh condemned the assault, emphasizing the need for immediate and firm action to ensure the safety and protection of all citizens, especially children. She expressed her prayers for the boy’s recovery and strength for the family during this ordeal.

Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang also called for swift police action to identify and bring the perpetrators to justice, describing the crime as premeditated and targeted. He highlighted the cowardly nature of attacking a politician’s family, especially a 12-year-old child, and urged solidarity among politicians to oppose such behavior.

Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek expressed regret over the incident, urging an immediate investigation to hold those responsible accountable. She prayed for the boy’s recovery and for Rafizi’s family to remain under protection.
