Kuala lumpur: Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil has congratulated renowned singer and composer Faizal Tahir on the production of the song 'Aku Berjanji', which has been chosen as the theme song for the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day (HKHM) celebrations. He said the song was performed for the first time at the launch of the 2026 National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang Campaign in Ipoh today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fahmi expressed his appreciation for the song's themes of unity, togetherness, and love for the country. He conveyed his congratulations to Faizal Tahir in a Facebook post, highlighting the significance of the song in promoting national pride. The excitement for the HKHM celebrations was further amplified following the campaign's launch by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Fahmi also urged all Malaysians to proudly display the Jalur Gemilang, ensuring that the flags are in good condition and properly installed. Additionally, he reminded social media users to be cautious when using artificial intelligence technology to generate images of the Jalur Gemilang, emphasizing the importance of preventing errors that could compromise the dignity of the national symbol.
