Kuala lumpur: Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil extended his condolences to the family of former Information Department director-general Datuk Mohd Sukari Ab Hamid, who died today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fahmi mentioned that Mohd Sukari was among the first individuals he met after being entrusted with leading the Communications Ministry. Fahmi noted that Mohd Sukari was one of the people who worked most closely with him in carrying out his official duties.
"The passing of the late Mohd Sukari is deeply felt and leaves a profound impact on the entire Communications Ministry family, especially the Information Department. May Allah SWT forgive all his sins, bestow His mercy upon his soul, and place him among the righteous," Fahmi expressed in a Facebook post.
Mohd Sukari was laid to rest after the Asar prayers at the Sakinah Cemetery in Kampung Melayu, Kepong. He was appointed Director-General of the Information Department on December 7, 2020, and retired on March 20, 2024.
