Fahmi Extends Condolences To Bernama Photographer’s Family

Kuala lumpur: Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil expressed his condolences and sorrow over the passing of Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Sarawak Bureau photographer Muhamad Razali Nordin who passed away at Sarawak General Hospital (HUS) early this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fahmi conveyed his sentiments through a Facebook post, highlighting the dedication and commitment of the deceased throughout his nearly three decades of service with Bernama. He extended his condolences to the family members, comrades, and friends of Muhamad Razali, and wished them strength in facing their loss. Fahmi also urged everyone to pray for the deceased's soul to be blessed.

Muhamad Razali, aged 54 and originally from Batu Gajah, Perak, was widely recognized for his dedication and commitment to his role at Bernama. He began his career at the Bernama headquarters in 1996 before moving to the Sarawak Bureau in 2002, then to the Selangor Bureau in 2004. He returned to the headquarters in 2009 and was reassigned to the Sarawak Bureau in 2011, where he continued to serve until his passing.

It is reported that Muhamad Razali was suffering from several chronic diseases, including heart, liver, and kidney problems. His health had been deteriorating since Ramadan, leading to his confinement at his residence in Taman Sukma, Petra Jaya, before his admission to HUS for further treatment.

In recognition of his contributions, Muhamad Razali had received support through the Tabung Kasih@HAWANA initiative, a welfare program for media practitioners under the Ministry of Communications. His work was instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the Sarawak bureau, and he was appreciated by colleagues for his amiable nature.

Muhamad Razali is survived by his widow, Ratnawaty Abdul Hai, and four children.
