Exco To Visit Kampar Hospital Next Week Over Leaking Issue

Kampar: The state government will first examine the actual situation at Kampar Hospital before drawing any conclusions regarding the allegations raised regarding the leaking issue and hospital's facilities. State Health, Human Resources, Consumer Affairs and National Integration Committee chairman, Datuk A. Sivanesan, stated that he will visit the hospital next week to get a more accurate picture of the actual situation.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Datuk A. Sivanesan mentioned that he intends to personally inspect the condition of Kampar Hospital before making any further comments. He emphasized that his understanding is that the situation at Kampar Hospital is not as serious as claimed, and he wishes to confirm this by visiting the site.

Datuk Sivanesan highlighted the importance of not relying solely on individual allegations without verification and reports from relevant parties. He aims to ensure that the state government's response is based on firsthand information and thorough assessment.

Earlier, Perak Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) released a media statement claiming that there was a leak at Kampar Hospital, affecting several parts of the hospital, including the wards and Emergency and Trauma Units. The issue had also been reported on social media, where it was alleged that a roof leak at the hospital affected patients during rainy weather.
