KOTA KINABALU: The appointment of United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) president Datuk Ewon Benedick as the new chairman of Sabah Pakatan Harapan (PH) is hoped to strengthen collaboration between the coalition and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS). GRS chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, who is also Sabah Chief Minister, congratulated Ewon and emphasised the importance of fostering closer ties between the two coalitions for the benefit of the people of Sabah.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Hajiji expressed optimism about the cooperation and unity between PH and GRS remaining strong. He highlighted the history of collaboration between the parties and stressed the importance of continuing this effort. Hajiji made these remarks to reporters after launching the Tuaran District Economic Development Strategic Plan 2024-2035.

Hajiji also conveyed his hope that the parties within the Sabah PH coalition, in conjunction with those under GRS, will create a strong synergy aimed at advancing the development of Saba
