Ras al khaimah: Eversendai Corporation Bhd unit Eversendai Offshore has commenced fabrication works for the LanWin2 project, which it secured earlier from Dragados Offshore, Spain, alongside the BalWin3 and LanWin4 projects. Eversendai Offshore, together with TenneT, Dragados Offshore, and Siemens Energy, celebrated LanWin2’s first steel cut ceremony at Eversendai’s waterfront facility in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, this event marks the commencement of steel block manufacturing for the east side as part of Germany’s renewable energy transition. The contract win was announced earlier this year, emphasizing the importance of this milestone in the ongoing project.
The structural steel specialist reiterated in the statement that the scope of the contract includes procurement, engineering, fabrication, construction, painting, and loadout of blocks for 2 gigawatt (GW) offshore converter platforms for TenneT Germany’s offshore grid connections. Eversendai is committed to delivering the project with high standards of quality and safety and aims to further enhance its participation in the offshore wind renewable energy sector in the future.
