Kuala lumpur: Epic Bhd’s subsidiary, Eastern Pacific Marine Services Sdn Bhd (EPMSSB), has signed a Master Service Agreement (MSA) with Velesto Energy Bhd’s unit, Velesto Drilling Sdn Bhd, for the provision of marine support services.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the MSA was signed during the recent Oil and Gas Asia (OGA) 2025 exhibition. The agreement includes services such as vessel mooring, temporary layup, and port facilities, along with marine support services at the Kemaman Port. Epic’s group chief executive officer, Dr. Muhtar Suhaili, emphasized that the MSA establishes a framework for ongoing collaboration in supporting offshore operations and related activities at Kemaman Port.
Dr. Suhaili stated that the partnership demonstrates confidence in the company’s capabilities and its commitment to delivering efficient and reliable marine and port services to meet industry needs. He noted that the MSA not only provides a framework for offshore support cooperation but also reinforces Kemaman Port’s role as a significant hub in the oil and gas sector.
At the signing ceremony, EPMSSB was represented by Captain Mohd Kamarul Mamat, its general manager of Port Management and Marine Services, while Velesto was represented by Abdul Hadi Abdul Bari, its senior vice-president of Drilling Business.
Muhtar expressed anticipation for working closely with Velesto to ensure that service delivery aligns with industry benchmarks and standards. He added that with the MSA and other ongoing contracts, EPMSSB is well-positioned to strengthen its role in advancing the oil and gas, and maritime industries, while supporting the sustainable growth of the regional energy sector.
