Kuala Lumpur: Eastern Pacific Industrial Corporation Bhd (EPIC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ground Team Red Sdn Bhd (GTR) to explore the supply and installation of solar panels at GTR’s cargo terminal and ground service equipment maintenance centre warehouse. In a joint statement, both companies emphasized their commitment to advancing Malaysia’s green energy agenda.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, under the agreement, EPIC, through its subsidiary Eastern Pacific Properties Sdn Bhd (EPPSB), will act as the principal solutions provider for solar infrastructure. GTR will evaluate the integration of solar energy systems to power its key operational facilities.
EPIC’s group chief executive officer, Muhtar Suhaili, stated that the partnership represents not only a business collaboration but also a shared commitment to accelerating renewable energy adoption within the aviation support sector. He added that the initiative aims to support GTR’s sustainability objectives by leveraging EPIC’
s expertise in delivering solar panel systems and renewable energy solutions for commercial and industrial facilities.
GTR’s group chief executive officer, Musdalifa Abdullah, highlighted that the collaboration with EPIC is a significant step towards achieving carbon-neutral ground operations. By integrating solar energy into their facilities, GTR is reinforcing its commitment to sustainable aviation, aligning with Malaysia’s energy transition goals.
