EMGS Honored with Prestigious PIEoneer Award for Student Support

London: Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) has captured the Student Support Award at The PIEoneer Awards 2026 in London, recognizing its International Student Arrival Centre (ISAC) and reinforcing Malaysia's reputation as a leading student-centered global education hub.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the accolade was awarded during the 10th anniversary of the event held at Guildhall, London, on September 4. The award was accepted by EMGS chairman Datuk Ahmad Shalimin Ahmad Shaffie and chief executive officer Novie Tajuddin, who were joined by board member Dzariman Ibrahim.

Datuk Ahmad Shalimin expressed in a statement from EMGS, "This is more than an award for EMGS, it is a proud moment for Malaysia. ISAC shows that a student's experience begins the moment they arrive. Through care, clarity, and confidence, Malaysia is setting a new benchmark for international student support."

The evaluation panel reviewed eight student-support initiatives from countries such as Canada, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Malaysia. The shortlist featured esteemed organizations like UCAS and the UK Council for International Student Affairs, both renowned in international student support.

Operating continuously at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminals 1 and 2, ISAC offers comprehensive assistance to international students pre-immigration clearance. Services include guidance on immigration procedures, arrival briefings, priority lane access, transportation from the airport to campuses, and a welcome kit.

ISAC was initially established in April 2018 and saw enhancements with its official launch at Terminal 1 by the Ministry of Higher Education and EMGS on February 10, under the patronage of Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.

Novie Tajuddin remarked, 'This is only the beginning. This achievement shows the world what Malaysia is capable of delivering when innovation and student care move together. We believe ISAC has set a strong global benchmark and can serve as an example to other countries of what is possible when the international student experience is made a priority.'
