Kuala lumpur: Eight vehicles were trapped in flash floods at several locations across the Klang Valley this afternoon. The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Centre reported receiving multiple emergency calls related to the flash floods in several areas, including Jalan Awan Kecil, Taman OUG, Sri Petaling; Jalan Kuchai Lama heading towards Jalan Klang Lama; and the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Expressway tunnel heading towards Sri Petaling.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the incident in Jalan Awan Kecil involved five vehicles being trapped, with the Sri Petaling Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) receiving an emergency call at 4.23 pm. In another location, Jalan Kuchai Lama, two vehicles were reported trapped, prompting a distress call to BBP Seputeh at 3.57 pm.
Additionally, a vehicle was reported trapped in the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Expressway tunnel heading towards Sri Petaling due to waterlogging. Personnel from the fire and rescue teams conducted monitoring in the surrounding areas to ensure the situation was under control and fortunately, no casualties were reported.
