Eight Health Facilities in Sabah Resume Operations After Landslides

Kuala lumpur: Eight of the nine health facilities affected by landslides in several districts in Sabah have resumed full operations since yesterday, confirmed Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad. The only facility yet to reopen is the Gadong Papar Rural Clinic, which is still undergoing cleaning works.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the services of Gadong Papar Rural Clinic have been temporarily relocated to Bongawan Health Clinic. Dr Dzulkefly provided this update during a press conference held in conjunction with the Malaysia Sihat Sejahtera Month celebration.

The facilities that have resumed operations include KD Gadong, KD Padas Lamit, KD Bangkalalak, KD Lingkungan, KD Sinokom, KK Membakut, KD Pantai, and KK Mendulong, located in various districts such as Beaufort, Membakut, and Sipitang.

The media previously reported that several districts in Sabah, including Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Papar, and Beaufort, were severely affected by floods and landslides. The natural disaster claimed 13 lives and forced thousands of residents to evacuate to relief centers.
