Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is set to make an official visit to Malaysia next month. This visit is expected to open discussions on various aspects of Malaysia-Egypt relations.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar shared the information on his social media, expressing hope for in-depth discussions during El-Sisi's visit. However, details about the agenda remain undisclosed. The announcement follows a recent meeting between Anwar and El-Sisi during a gala dinner organized alongside the 18th BRICS Leaders' Summit.

Earlier this year, Malaysia and Egypt agreed to enhance their bilateral relations to a strategic partnership. Anwar's presence at the BRICS Summit marks another step in strengthening Malaysia's international relations. Following the summit, Anwar plans to continue his diplomatic engagements with a visit to Keralam, India, marking his second official visit to the country since assuming office.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit the Maldives, further emphasizing Malaysia's active role in regional diplomacy.
