ECRL Board Meetings Held on Inspection Train

Gombak:Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL) has achieved a significant milestone by conducting board committee meetings aboard the ECRL comprehensive inspection train (CIT) on a round trip from Gombak Integrated Terminal ECRL Station to the KotaSAS ECRL Station in Pahang.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the finance and technical committee, along with the board audit, risk, and governance committee, convened on the train to evaluate the journey and the project's advancement in real operating scenarios. The train maintained consistent speeds, indicating positive progress in the ECRL's testing and readiness phase.

The journey between Gombak and KotaSAS took approximately 85 minutes each way, a development praised by MRL's chief executive officer Datuk Seri Darwis Abdul Razak. He noted that board members had the opportunity to witness the ECRL's performance and assess various operational aspects, such as finance, technical issues, audit, risk, and governance.

As the project transitions from construction to operations, ensuring the system's safety, reliability, and readiness is crucial. Testing, commissioning, and operational preparations are set to intensify to meet all safety, technical, and regulatory requirements.
