Kuala Lumpur: Econpile Holdings Bhd’s subsidiary, Econpile (M) Sdn Bhd, has been awarded a RM42.82 million contract from Irama Duta Sdn Bhd. The contract involves executing bored piling and related construction tasks, integral to the Penang Light Rail Transit (LRT) Mutiara Line (MTL) – Package CMC1.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the contract was disclosed in a filing with Bursa Malaysia. Econpile stated that the project is anticipated to benefit the company’s revenue and earnings starting from the financial year ending June 30, 2026. The commencement of the project is scheduled for August 1, 2025, with an expected practical completion date of October 31, 2027.

Econpile expressed confidence in managing the project’s operational risks during the contract period. The management plans to implement control measures and operational procedures aimed at mitigating any potential impacts or likelihood of operational challenges.
