Kuala Lumpur:Eco World Foundation has made a significant contribution to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Lifelink Seribu Kasih (LSK) by donating seven oxygen concentrators valued at RM36,000 to aid in home-based care for bedridden patients.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the equipment was officially handed over by Eco World Foundation chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye to LSK chairperson Siah Mun Yee during a ceremony. LSK, established on March 29, 2024, provides healthcare support for home-based patients, including items such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, and other mobility aids in addition to nutritional and medical supplies.
Since its inception, LSK has supported 379 cases through equipment loans, physiotherapy visits, and care guidance. The organization currently supplies regular monthly care to 25 patients and collaborates with welfare homes, including Ti Ratana and Persatuan Kebajikan Sayap Kasih Malaysia.
During the handover ceremony, Tan Sri Lee emphasized the importance of a reliable oxygen supply in allowing bedridden patients to receive care at home. He noted that this approach could significantly enhance the comfort and dignity of patients while easing the burden on families.
The foundation has also been involved in other charitable activities this year, including the donation of five hospital beds to The Charity Food Basket Society Klang and contributing RM115,000 to Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras for patient care and medical equipment upgrades. Additionally, on October 15, it donated RM108,000 for haemodialysis machines to Yayasan St John Ambulans Malaysia and supports the Students Aid Programme, which assists around 2,000 underprivileged students annually.
