Lenggong: Klinik Desa Sumpitan and staff quarters at Kampung Sumpitan near Lenggong were destroyed in a fire early this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director (Operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad stated that the department received an emergency call regarding the incident via the NG999 line at 4.04 am. A team from the Lenggong Fire and Rescue Station BPP arrived at the scene at 4.14 am and discovered that the Class B building, which was being used as a clinic, as well as the staff quarters, were about 90 percent engulfed in flames.

A Proton Preve was also damaged in the fire, with the extent of damage estimated at five percent. No casualties were reported. Sabarodzi noted that firefighters from the Batu Kurau BPP also participated in the firefighting operation, which concluded at 6.24 am today.
