Terengganu:A total of 130,307 drug addicts were recorded in the country as of June, stated Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail. He identified Terengganu, Kelantan, Kedah, and Perlis as regions with concerning drug use trends, exceeding the national ratio of 381 cases per 100,000 population.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Terengganu reported 735 cases per 100,000 people, while Kelantan had 694, Kedah 669, and Perlis 646, all surpassing the national average. The Ministry of Home Affairs is willing to strengthen campaigns and collaborate with state governments to address this national concern. Saifuddin Nasution underscored the need for strong political will and cooperation from all sectors to combat the drug problem, which has evolved from an individual issue to a national challenge.
