Dr Zaliha Urges Respect for Jalur Gemilang Across Federal Territories

Putrajaya: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa has called on the public and business premises in the Federal Territories to consistently honour the Jalur Gemilang, emphasizing its role as a symbol of national dignity and identity.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Zaliha stressed the importance of the Malaysian flag in fostering patriotism among the populace and underscored the necessity of giving it due prominence. She advised adherence to the official guidelines when flying the flag to ensure it maintains its honor and significance.

Dr Zaliha remarked on recent incidents that highlight the need for caution in raising the Malaysian flag, emphasizing that it should always align with the recommended guidelines to preserve the nation’s honor and its symbolic glory. Her comments were made during an interaction with reporters following the MADANI Brisk Walk 2.0 program at Taman Saujana, organized by Putrajaya PKR.

She highlighted that the event aligns with the Federal Territories’ vision of developing into a CHASE city, characterized by cleanliness, health, advancement, safety, and eco-friendliness. As part of the celebrations for National Day on August 31 and Malaysia Day on September 16, Dr Zaliha also distributed the Jalur Gemilang to participants and residents in Putrajaya.

This year’s festivities are themed ‘Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni,’ reflecting a commitment to inclusivity and national unity.
