Kuala lumpur: Prof Datuk Seri Dr Jeswant Dillon's induction as the first Malaysian into the American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) signifies a monumental achievement in the field of cardiothoracic surgery. Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad emphasized the significance of this recognition, noting that it reflects Dr Jeswant's unwavering dedication and substantial contributions to medical care.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Dzulkefly highlighted that Dr Jeswant's accomplishment was not achieved overnight but is a testament to his years of committed service. He remarked on Dr Jeswant's patriotism and meticulous skill, which he personally observed in the operating theatre.
Dr Dzulkefly further expressed his admiration, stating that on behalf of the Ministry of Health and the government, he extends profound respect to Dr Jeswant for this recognition. He affirmed that Malaysia takes great pride in Dr Jeswant's contributions and accomplishments.
Additionally, Dr Dzulkefly noted that Dr Jeswant's success as a senior consultant Cardiothoracic surgeon at the National Heart Institute (IJN) not only honors the nation but also inspires future Malaysian surgeons to strive for excellence and achieve significant milestones.
