Kuala lumpur: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof today returned to attend a Cabinet meeting after undergoing heart bypass surgery and taking medical leave to recuperate.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fadillah expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his Cabinet colleagues for their support during his treatment. He shared his appreciation and happiness to be back at the meeting in a Facebook post. He also wished for good health and well-being for all, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling their responsibilities effectively.

Fadillah, the Petra Jaya MP, underwent heart bypass surgery at the National Heart Institute (IJN) on August 12. He was admitted to the institute on July 28 and underwent a coronary angiogram the day after his admission.
