The development arises as part of discussions during the MADANI 2026 Government Retreat, attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Cabinet ministers, and state government leaders.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has recorded a statement from a senior MAF officer to aid in the investigation into alleged fund misuse within the force. Fahmi emphasized the importance of timely and accurate dissemination of information by leaders, particularly Cabinet members, to avoid public misunderstandings.
