Debra Never Got To Host Reunion With School Friends At New Home

Kampung semadang: Nurse Debra Moset was due to host a reunion with her school friends at her new home in Kampung Semadang here, but she was killed in a helicopter crash in Long Lellang, Baram, Miri, on Tuesday before the gathering could take place.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the newly completed house was where Debra had planned to welcome her friends and reminisce about their school days. Today, it became the place where her remains were brought home. Her cousin, Sandra Ninyong, 43, shared that Debra and her family had been looking forward to holding a thanksgiving ceremony for the new home next week before having the reunion. Sandra mentioned that Debra's daughter, Euodia, had sent invitations to her cousins via WhatsApp to come to their house next week, and that Debra had been waiting for about a year for the house to be completed.

Debra, 40, is survived by her husband, John Then Hua Ken, 43, and two children, Euodia Then Suling, 15, and Eugene Then Suling, 12. Her remains were flown from Miri and arrived at Kuching International Airport at about 10 am today, before being taken to her hometown, arriving at around 12.30 pm. She will be laid to rest at St Patrick Cemetery in Semadang tomorrow.

Also present at the house to pay their last respects were Deputy Premier of Sarawak Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian and Mambong assemblyman Datuk Dr Jerip Susil.
